After playing flute for seven years, I was excited to learn that Albion offered music ensembles that were open to non-majors in my freshman year. The symphonic band one of those. It meets during spring semester and we perform several concerts every year, in addition to playing at Commencement.

The ensemble is much larger than my high school band, and it is proving to be an amazing opportunity to expand my own musical abilities without overtaxing my time. I am playing music that far exceeds the level of difficulty that I was accustomed to, making friends and memories, and having a great time while doing it.
