I'm 22 years old
I'm from Fenton, Michigan, which is just south of Flint,
Michigan.
I attend
Albion College,
where I study Political Science and Philosophy.

President, we are a non-religious based
organization that encourages free-thinking and ethical behavior, and
discusses contemporary issues from a Secular Humanist perspective.

I am an active member of Tau Kappa Epsilon, Omega Chapter, one of the oldest
chapters in the world. I
was a First Year Experience mentor at Albion College. I
lived in a student run co-op
Coffee House on campus.
I was the booking manager. I
have also done minor work with Break the Silence and POWER. I
also participate in Albion College Players, I have
performed in three shows thus far.Interests
I play guitar and bass.
Music is a passion of mine, listening to it, writing it,
and playing it.
I like many genres of music, but punk rock is my
favorite.
I love to
travel, hopefully I can travel the world
some day. I've been to Europe twice and I can't wait to go back.
I visited Copenhagen, Berlin, Munich, Berchtesgaden, Vienna, Bratislava,
Interlaken, Paris, Amsterdam, and London.
I also enjoy
graphic design.
In my spare time I enjoy:
Playing video games, playing guitar, reading (both fiction and nonfiction),
listening to music, watching good movies.
My favorite literary genres are fantasy and science fiction.
I also have a new found appreciation for single-malt scotch in honor of my
late grandfather and Professor Ned Garvin. My favorite blends include
Laphroaig, Tallisker, and Highland Park.
I also enjoy micro-brewed beer from our locally owned
Dark Horse Brewing Company.
My Mom, Darrell Moilanen, is a school social worker for the
school district from which I
graduated.
My Dad, Bill Moilanen, D.D.S, is a dentist who specializes in implant dentistry
and recently conscious sedation, he owns his own practice,
Lake Fenton
Implant and Family Dentistry,
in Fenton.
I'm the youngest of three children.
My sister is
Kristin Moilanenn, PhD, 31 an Albion 99' Graduate who was recently hired as
a tenure tract faculty member at West Virginia University. Her Husband Jan Erik
Strøm works for an international business
consulting firm and is currently traveling back and forth between Morgantown
and his current site.
My brother is Will Moilanen, 26 who is currently working on earning
his bachelor's degree with secondary education certification in biology.
